Pashuram

Legendary Creator

Leaving behind the grime of the modern world you are going to step back into a world of the ‘Bygone Era’ where eco-friendly traditions, man’s co-existence with Nature and the astounding detailing of architectural metamorphosis and evolution of Goa’s rural culture trades and dwellings will be displayed.

The Legendary Lord Parshuram is the sixth avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism. He is the son of Renuka and one of the saptarishis, Jamadagni. He lived during the last Treta and Dvapara Yugas and is one of the Chiranjivi (immortals) of Hinduism. The avatar of Lord Vishnu, is believed to have created the land of Goa by shooting an arrow from Sahyadri mountains into the arabian sea.

See in Goa

Goa is one of India's special places.  Sun, sand and sea being the major attractions, with its 131-km-long coastline, Goa is an important destination in every tourist's itinerary. It is popularly known as ‘the pearl of the east', and is famous for its churches, age-old ruins, palm-fringed beaches, coconut groves, ferry rides, and bubbly folk music.

It is blessed with fabulous weather, even more fabulous beaches, delightful people, good food, hill-top forts, little white-washed churches and soaring Portuguese-era cathedrals: a unique cultural legacy. Small wonder, therefore, that Goa is one of India's prime holiday destinations.

Unique Goan Lifestyle

Having been the meeting point of races, religions and cultures of East and West over the centuries, Goa has timeless charm and its uniqueness lies in the fact that whilst creating a delicate synthesis of various cultures, it has retained its inherent soul. The people of Goa are very friendly and are fond of the good things in life. They are certainly not caught up in the rat race.

Agriculture and fishing are the most important economic activities in Goa. An exhilarating drink called Feni is produced from cashew. It is a kind of gin or vodka. See how Feni is made at Ancestral Goa.
